    Visas and Entry

    For those needing visas, a courtesy visa will be granted to participants upon arrival in Suriname.

    To arrange this before travel, you must:

    • download the application form here 
    • Fill out and sign the form. 
    • Send it along with a copy of the bio-page of your passport* and travel itinerary by email to: co.environment@president.gov.sr and/or secpastateadvisor@gmail.com
    • *Note that the passport must be valid for at least 6 (six) months

    (as much in advance as possible)

    Participants will be receive a letter, issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, indicating that the visa will be available upon arrival.

    Don't forget! Travelers to Suriname must present a Yellow Fever Certificate.

    Suriname is on the northern coast of South America, neighbouring Guyana to the west and the department of French Guiana to the east. **As Suriname is more than 90% covered in lush tropical rain forest, you should be aware that it is an area with risk of yellow fever--Please check your vaccination records; ensure you are protected; and if you are coming from another yellow fever area, DO travel with your vaccination certificate!**

    Venue & Hotels

    Conference events will be held at the Torarica Hotel and adjacent Royal Torarica Hotel on Kleine Waterstraat, Paramaribo, a pleasant and convenient riverside location. The surrounding area is popular with tourists and features a variety of restaurants and many diverse entertainment options within walking distance.
